Five Towns College Announces Jason Fiscina as Men's Soccer Head Coach

Five Towns College Athletics has announced Jason Fiscina as the Men's Soccer Head Coach.

Fiscina joins the Sound after most recently serving as the Assistant Men's Basketball Coach/Director of Operations at Molloy College from 2011-2015. In this position, Fiscina was responsible for recruiting, scouting, video operations, and practice plans. During his time with the Lions, he helped coach the team to the best regular-season record in school history in 2012-13 (18-10, 13-5 conference), along with two consecutive East Coast Conference Semifinal appearances.

Jason possesses an unwavering commitment to the student-athlete experience and is passionate about the game. He is also a proven recruiter. We look forward to his leadership of our men's soccer program", stated Athletic Director Matt Guercio upon Fiscina's hiring. 

Previously, Fiscina was the Assistant Junior Varsity Lacrosse Coach at Friends Academy from 2016-2018, Assistant Junior Varsity Soccer Coach at Friends Academy in 2017, and the Plainview JFK Middle School Boys Soccer Coach in 2010.

As a high school athlete, Fiscina was 10th in the county for goals in his Junior year at Plainedge High School. He was named captain of the varsity team for his Senior year and was a United States Army Reserve Scholar Athlete. Fiscina was a member of the Molloy College Men's Soccer team from 2007-2008, where he was a part of the East Coast Conference Championship team that appeared in the NCAA East Regionals.

I would like to thank Matt Guercio for granting me this amazing opportunity to be part of the expansion of the Five Towns Athletics program," stated Fiscina. "While on campus, it was immediately clear to me just how much school pride the students, faculty, and staff have for Five Towns. I look forward to building a soccer program that the college and the community will be proud of both on and off of the field."

Fiscina is currently the Girls Varsity Basketball Head Coach at Friends Academy and a Special Education teacher for the New York City Department of Education.

Fiscina earned his Bachelor's Degree in Childhood/Special Education and his Master's Degree in Teaching Students with Disabilities from Molloy College.

For the 2018-19 academic year, Fiscina's primary responsibility will be recruiting athletes to build a team ready to compete in the Fall 2019 season.
