Head Women's Basketball Coach Veronica Peck Named Assistant At Queens College
Dix Hills, N.Y. - Five Towns College women's basketball head coach Veronica Peck is resigning her post to become the assistant women’s basketball coach at Queens College, an NCAA Division II program that competes in the East Coast Conference (ECC), in Flushing, N.Y.
 
“I’d like to thank Veronica for all of her contributions to our women’s basketball program and Five Towns College,” said Athletic Director Matt Guercio. “We wish her and her family nothing but the best.”
 
“I am thankful for the opportunity I've had to serve Five Towns College for the past three years”, commented Peck. “My time here has helped me grow as a coach and individual. The experience I have had at Five Towns has provided me with the opportunity to further my coaching career. I wish nothing but the best and continued success for athletics and the women's basketball program.”
 
This past year, Peck led the Sound to an 8-7 overall record and were ranked #20 in the USCAA Week 1 Coaches Poll. Peck mentored senior Chloe Walton (Bronx, N.Y.) who was named USCAA Honorable All-American for a second year straight year.
