Five Towns College Athletics has announced Traceé-Marie Cammarata as the Women's Volleyball Assisant Coach, joining Head Coach Christy Herring.
"I am very excited to be brought into Five Towns as the assistant coach of the women's volleyball team. The prospect of being a part of this program from the ground up is an honor and a responsibility that I take seriously." stated Cammarata. "I am also elated to continue working with one of my best friends, head coach, Christy Herring. I know that together we will work hard to make this program a success. Up, is the only place we can go and I can't wait for the journey."
Cammarata was a member of the LIU Brooklyn women's volleyball team, and assistant coach at Monsignor McClancy High School, alongside Herring. At Monsignor McClancy, Cammarata helped bring the team to the city semi-finals in 2017, and to become a city finalist in 2018.
"Traceé has played many roles in my lifetime...first as an opposing player on the high school level, then as a teammate and co-captain at LIU, and later as my right hand on the sidelines at Msgr. McClancy High School. In each of those roles, she has displayed heart, integrity, dedication, a strong will and a beautiful understanding of the game through a coach's eye. I am honored to once again have her at my side as we build this program together! A captain of a ship is only as good as her crew and for me, having Traceé as part of my crew, this program is that much more prepared for success." stated Head Coach Christy Herring.
Cammarata earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from LIU Brooklyn, and a Bachelor's Degree in Equine Science from Colorado State University.
