Women's Volleyball Signs Emily Angelastro

Dix Hills, N.Y. - The Five Towns College women's volleyball team signed the program's first ever recruit, Emily Angelastro (Seaford, N.Y.). A transfer from Hunter College, Angelastro is a graduate of Seaford High School and was a member of the Long Island Hurricanes volleyball club.

Prior to Hunter College, Angelastro was a two-year member of the Nassau Community College women's volleyball team. A 5'2 libero, she amassed 668 digs, 86 service aces, and 60 kills during her two seasons with the Lions.

"Emily will give us great leadership on the court and brings an exceptional skill set," stated head coach Christy Herring. "I look forward to watching her captain the new volleyball program here at Five Towns College."

The women's volleyball program will begin preseason training on Thursday, August 15th. The team will kick off its inaugural season on Saturday, September 7th at Cairn University.
