With an 81-55 victory over Culinary Institute, Men's Basketball moves to 3-0 on the season, 2-0 in USCAA contests. The Sound's aggressive defense proved to be too much for Culinary Institute as the Steels had 38 turnovers, 26 of them coming from Five Towns steals. The Sound had 44 points off of their opponent's turnovers. After three games this season, Five Towns is averaing 23 steals per game, good for first in the USCAA.
The game's highest scorer was Culinary Institute's Steven Bujnowski with 29 points, including five 3-pointers. Leading the Sound in scoring was Kyree Sawyer with 23 points. Sawyer is currently averaging 28.7 points through three games, placing him second in the USCAA. The men's team is showing a deep lineup as more than a quarter of the team's total points on the season have come from off the bench. John Francois was the second-highest scorer today, coming off the bench for 21 points (9-11) in 17 minutes played, matching his career high.
