Women's Basketball traveled to Kingsborough Community College for the team's first away game of the season. The Sound defeated The Wave by a score of 68-50.
After trailing by 10 points at halftime, the Sound was able to hold Kingsborough to just two points in the third quarter, outscoring them 22-2. Rasauna Melendez led the scoring with 20 points. Melendez also added 7 steals, 5 rebounds, and 1 assist. Three other Five Towns players scored double-digit points: Chloe Walton (19), Jada Roberts Duncan (14), Denisha Allen (13).
Allen grabbed a career-high 24 rebounds, as the team out rebounded The Wave 67-43. The Sound's 35 offensive boards were good for 21 second-chance points.
