Five Towns College Athletics Program Launches Esports

Dix Hills, NY - The Five Towns College Sound Athletics Program announces the launch of Esports - a new varsity intercollegiate sport for the 2020-21 academic year. The addition of Esports, a co-ed competitive offering, brings the total number of varsity programs to seven.

"We are extremely excited to offer Esports as an intercollegiate program," said Athletic Director Matt Guercio. "Sports as we know it is changing and evolving. Competitive gaming is one of the fastest-growing industries and it will provide exponential growth and opportunities for all students at Five Towns College."

Five Towns College is currently in the developmental stage for a planned on-campus gaming room. The specific game platforms are still being determined. Students interested in being a member of the Esports team can complete the Prospective Student-Athlete Form or email at: athletics@ftc.edu.
