NEW YORK - MARCH 20, 2020/THOMAS BRICE/-- The Sports Report New York's #1 sports show is proud to announce in his week spot this week the head coaches of the Five Towns Sound basketball teams Anthony Alfaro and Gregg Drzal. 

Anthony Alfaro is entering his first season as the head coach of the Five Towns Sound women's basketball team. Anthony Alfaro previously was head coach for the LaGuardia Community College women's basketball team from 2013-2017 where he was a CUNYAC Coach of the Year. Most recently, Anthony Alfaro was the head coach for the Cristo Del Rey Brooklyn High School.  

Gregg Drzal is coming off a 5-2 season in the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) for the Five Towns Sound men's basketball team which included leading the Sound to a 5-0 start in conference play this past season. Gregg Drzal has over 20 years of involvement in Long Island basketball at the High School and AAU levels. Gregg Drzal is entering his third season as coach for the Sound men's basketball team as he replaced the legendary John Mateyko in 2018. The Five Towns Sound men's basketball team also boasts the HVIAC player of the year Kyree Sawyer who averaged over 23 points per game this season, including 24 points per game in conference play and was also a USCAA First Team All-American selection; a first in Five Towns Sound school history.

The resumes of Coach Drzal and Coach Alfaro are as good as anybody's the Sports Report has ever had on the show, and with Coach Drzal returning the HVIAC player of the year Kyree Sawyer, and Coach Alfaro's early star recruits in Gabrielle Sutphin and Maria Medina-Mate. Not only is the rest of HVIAC going to take notice but the whole college basketball world will also join me in the excitement that I have for Five Towns College Basketball for the upcoming 2020-21 season.
