Five Towns College Falls to Bryant & Stratton - Albany, 72 - 37
At the Washington Ave Armory on January 30, 2025 the Five Towns Sound took on Bryant Stratton - Albany and fell 72-37. In a game where every possession counted, the Five Towns College squad was unable to keep pace with a dominant Bryant & Stratton - Albany team. Despite posting a solid shooting percentage from the field and beyond the arc, the Sound’s limited shot volume and less-effective free throw play ultimately proved to be the difference.
Five Towns College's Patrick Harrington led the way with a strong performance, scoring 13 points, complemented by 2 free throws. Eian Williams also contributed significantly, adding 12 points and knocking down both of his free throws.
However, the Sound’s offensive output was constrained by the low number of attempts and Bryant & Stratton - Albany amassed 29 field goals on their side of the ball.
A closer look at the free throw numbers revealed another gap. Five Towns hit just 5 of 10 free throw attempts (50%), compared to Bryant & Stratton - Albany’s 7-for-11 clip (63.6%). In a game where precision was vital, these missed opportunities further widened the scoring differential.
Although the final score of 37-72 was not in their favor, the Sound’s performance had several positive takeaways. Their perfect shooting percentages from the field and beyond demonstrate that when given the chance, the team can execute under pressure. Key contributions from starters such as Patrick Harrington, Tayron Bangs (5 points), and Eian Williams provide a foundation on which to build.
As Five Towns College continues its season, the focus will be on increasing offensive tempo and ensuring that every opportunity is maximized. The team remains committed to refining their game plan, with the belief that these lessons will pave the way for more competitive performances down the stretch.
