Five Towns College Men Roll Past Bryant & Stratton College - Albany in Conference Victory
Dix Hills, NY – January 18, 2026 – The Five Towns College men's basketball team delivered one of its most complete performances of the season Sunday afternoon, defeating Bryant & Stratton College – Albany 87-67 in conference action at home. The victory improves the Sound to 5-12 overall and 2-7 in conference play.
Five Towns set the tone early, jumping out to a 44-29 halftime lead behind efficient shooting and relentless work on the boards. The Sound shot 46.2% in the first half and finished the game at 43.0% from the field while holding Bryant & Stratton to just 28.0% shooting.
Leading the charge was Naejon Ward, who turned in a stellar all-around performance with 24 points on 9-of-13 shooting, including 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. Ward also dished out 6 assists and grabbed 3 rebounds, providing poise and offensive control throughout the contest.
"Naejon was locked in from the start," said the Five Towns head coach. "He made great decisions, shot the ball efficiently, and controlled the pace of the game. That's the kind of leadership we need."
Dominating the paint was Khamari Broomfield, who recorded a monster double-double with 20 points and 19 rebounds, including 7 offensive boards. Broomfield added 5 assists and helped Five Towns win the rebounding battle 54-51, consistently creating second-chance opportunities.
Angel Redding contributed 13 points and 6 rebounds, while the team totaled 17 assists and forced tough shooting from the visitors all afternoon.
Bryant & Stratton – Albany was led by Zay Little, who posted 26 points and 16 rebounds, but the visitors struggled to find offensive rhythm against Five Towns' defensive pressure.
With back-to-back conference wins on the weekend, Five Towns continues to build momentum heading into the heart of league play.
