Dix Hills, NY - In a conference match that only lasted 67 minutes due to five total ejections between both sides, the Five Towns College men's soccer team (3-1-1, 0-1-1 HVIAC) came up short by a score of 1-0 at HVIAC opponent Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (2-4, 1-2 HVIAC).
The lone goal of the game that proved to be the decision maker came in the 9th minute of play. Albany's Gavin Carvey was fouled in the box to draw a penalty kick, which Noah Keith was able to convert on.
In a close contest, Five Towns outshot Albany 16-14, 15 of which came within the first half. Adrian Santos and William Rivera both led the team with two shots on goal each, but were unable to find the back of the net. The Sound also held a 3-0 advantage in corner kicks. Mouhamed Diop Dia totaled six saves in the effort.
The men return to action for another conference game against HVIAC opponent King's College on Wednesday, September 25th. The game will be played at 7:00 PM at the Aviator Sports & Event Center in Brooklyn, NY.
