Dix Hills, NY — The No. 10 Women's Sound Basketball team from Five Towns College advanced in postseason play with a commanding 65–49 semifinal victory over No. 7 Berkeley College, based on the Week 11 national rankings released by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). After a tightly contested first half, Five Towns erupted for 30 points in the third quarter, shooting 54.5% during the period to seize full control. The Sound's defensive intensity forced 26 turnovers and held Berkeley to just 24.7% shooting from the field.

Danica Robles delivered a spark that shifted momentum and is nominated as Five Towns' Player of the Game. Robles scored a team-high 12 points on an efficient 5-of-9 shooting, including 2-of-4 from three-point range, while adding three assists and four steals in 20 impactful minutes. Her perimeter shooting and defensive pressure keyed the decisive third-quarter surge. Robles' ability to convert opportunistic steals into offense provided the separation Five Towns needed.

Layla Ford added 10 points and five rebounds, consistently attacking off the dribble and applying pressure on both ends of the floor. Ihari Oromo dominated the paint with 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting and 11 rebounds, including six offensive boards that created critical second-chance opportunities. Raine Mears contributed seven points, two steals, a block, and steady ball-handling across 37 minutes, helping stabilize the offense during momentum swings. Berkeley was led by Ariella Johnson, who scored 16 points and added six rebounds despite facing constant defensive pressure. Aniyah Robinson recorded 12 rebounds and eight points, battling effectively on the glass. Davian Myers contributed eight rebounds and four steals, creating extra possessions for Berkeley. Despite those efforts, the Sound's balanced scoring, rebounding dominance, and defensive discipline proved decisive in the 16-point semifinal victory.
