Marchena Joins Women's Soccer Coaching Staff
Dix Hills, NY - Five Towns College Athletics has announced the addition of Jimmy Marchena to the women's soccer coaching staff as an assistant coach.
Marchena most recently held a graduate assistant coach position for the Plattsburgh State University men's soccer team. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing the scheduling and coordination of the intramural soccer program. He aided in training and helped to organize and implement game tactics.
"I would like to thank head coach Jason Fiscina and Athletic Director Matt Guercio for giving me this great opportunity to join the Five Towns College women’s soccer coaching staff." stated Marchena. "It is an honor to work alongside Fiscina and I look forward to assisting in the growth of our student athletes both on and off the field. I am eager for the challenges that lay ahead and look forward to competing here at Five Towns College."
Marchena played for the Plattsburgh State University men's soccer team for three seasons, where he was team captain his senior year. He has been named to the SUNYAC Second Team All-Conference, SUNYAC All-Tournament Team, and the All-East Regional Third Team. Marchena and Fiscina both played for the same youth soccer organization, the Plainedge Soccer Club.
