Five Towns Athletics to Add Soccer and Volleyball Fall 2019
Five Towns College Athletic Director Matt Guercio and Five Towns College has announced the addition of new sports to the Sound Athletics Program. Men's and Women's Soccer, along with Women's Volleyball will begin competition in the Fall 2019 semester. The college has also announced that Men's Volleyball will begin in the 2020-2021 academic year.
The addition of Soccer and Volleyball will bring the number of intercollegiate athletic teams at Five Towns College to six. Sound athletics currently competes as a Division II team, in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). The process of hiring a Head Coach for each sport will begin immediately.
Founded in 1972, Five Towns College is the most affordable private college on Long Island and the only residential private college in Suffolk County, NY. Degree programs are offered in Business Management with concentrations in Audio Recording Technology, Music Business and Music Performance; Film/Video; Jazz/Commercial Music, Mass Communications; Music Education; and Theatre Arts. Five Towns College students have included such notable performers and accomplished entertainers as Jon Bellion, Jesse Carmichael, Wyclef Jean, Adam Levine, Chrisette Michelle, and Joe Satriani.
